Applications are now being accepted for up to three $1000 college scholarships to dependents of REALTOR® members. A dependent includes anyone considered to be a dependent on the member’s federal tax return and who is 25 years of age or younger. Members must have at least five years of continuous board membership.
The Dayton REALTORS® Foundation has offered a scholarship program for dependents of Dayton REALTORS® members since 1996. It was then-president Steve Mikula who authored this program. Funds for the establishment of the scholarship are the result of contributions made directly to the Foundation by members of the board. Additionally each year, Dayton REALTORS® makes a contribution from the general fund to support this scholarship program.
This scholarship was created to assist full‐time student dependents of REALTOR® members of Dayton REALTORS® to complete their undergraduate programs at a degree granting college or university. Scholarships are awarded annually in the amount of $1000. The deadline to apply is Friday, May 17.
