Dayton REALTORS® swore in the 2018 officers and directors at the REALTORS® Installation Reception, held at the Dayton Art Institute on January 11th. The highlight of the event was the inauguration of Robert Morrison as president of the 2800-member association.
Morrison, a REALTOR® with Irongate, Inc., has been a REALTOR® at Dayton REALTORS® since 1999. In 2016 he served as Dayton REALTORS® treasurer and chairperson of the finance committee, and in 2017 he was elected president-elect and oversaw a number of committees and projects.
“In 2018, we plan on offering new education to our members, form new relationships with international and cultural groups here in our city, and continue to make REALTORS® a part of major conversations regarding business growth and global investment to our region.,” Morrison stated during his inauguration. “We are the only authority on real estate locally, and therefore should be the ones at the table speaking on it with our public and private sector partners.”
Other board officers installed include Jan Leverett, president-elect, and Sham Reddy, treasurer. Associated with Irongate Inc., Leverett has been a REALTOR® since 2006, and Reddy, associated with HER REALTORS®, has been a Realtor for almost 26 years.
Members elected or re-elected to the Board of Directors are Kelly McCormick, associated with Berkshire Hathaway Home Services Professional Realty; Guy Roth, associated with Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate Big Hill; Phil Sparks and Barbara Waddell, associated with Irongate, Inc.; Eric Brown, associated with EB Real Estate; Todd Cochran, associated with Colliers International, and Jeannie Wilkinson with M&M Title.
REALTORS® who are serving unexpired terms on the Board of Directors are Karen Huelsman and Linda Shurte, associated with Irongate, Inc.; Billie Duncan-Hart, Lisa Arzate and Kim Fox, associated with Coldwell Banker Heritage; Mark Kottman and Greg Blatt, associated with HER REALTORS®; and Brent Moore, associated with Better Homes & Gardens Real Estate Big Hill. Karen O’Grady, associated with Coldwell Banker Heritage, will continue to serve on the board as immediate past-president.
