The Dayton REALTORS® Foundation Board recently asked members to take part in a brief survey for the future direction of the foundation. We are truly appreciative of those who responded, and we received valuable feedback for our strategic planning process. We are pleased to share the results of the survey below.
The survey included eight closed-end questions and one open-ended query for additional feedback. Of the specific questions that were asked, the results showed that:
- Financial literacy initiatives to the community had the most appeal, followed closely by supporting affordable housing programs
- Foundation sponsored events were the most popular way to secure financial support, and
- A gala held the most interest as a fundraiser
The open-ended question asking for comments garnered a number of constructive responses. Summarizing many of the main points, members offered the following comments:
- Have amore thorough marketing presence in the community
- Share the foundation’s success stories and progress
- Conduct ongoing evaluations of foundation results
- Provide tangible outcomes and results to members
- Encourage more personal outreach and participation in the community
- Recognize the past performance of the foundation
- Disclose how foundation dollars are invested, and
- Engage members and educate them about the foundation
