Coming Soon will provide an option for listings that are not yet ready for Active status but that the seller wishes to begin marketing. Listings may remain in Coming Soon for up to 10 calendar days and will:
- Be Visible and Searchable to all MLS subscribers
- Eligible for marketing and included in syndication and data feeds distributed to our technology partners
- Automatically be moved to Active Status on the On Market Date set when entering the listing. NOTE: Listings not ready to be shown after the Coming Soon Period must be placed in Withdrawn Status.
While in Coming Soon Status:
- No Showings are allowed and verifiable showings will be subject to a $2000 fine
- A Coming Soon Seller Acknowledgement must be included in the supplements on the listing (will be available prior to launch)
- The On Market Date cannot change; as this is the indication to the public of when this property will be available

Changes to the Delayed Entry Process
With the implementation of the Coming Soon status, the Delayed Entry process also changed.
Delayed Entry applies to listings that will not be ready for the MLS for up to 90 calendar days and will not be shown or publicly marketed during that time.
To use Delayed Entry:
- A completed Delayed Entry Form must be submitted to MLSSupport@daytonrealtors.org within 3 calendar days of the effective date of the listing agreement. Download Updated Delayed Entry Form
- The listing will no longer be required to be entered into the MLS while it is under Delayed Entry.
- The listing may be entered into the MLS at any time during the 90-day period if the seller decides to begin marketing the property.
- If the seller needs additional time beyond the 90-day period, the listing must be entered into the MLS and placed in Withdrawn status before the Delayed Entry period expires.
To avoid a Listing Entry violation, the Delayed Entry Form must be submitted within the required three-calendar-day timeframe, and the listing must be entered into the MLS before the 90-day Delayed Entry period expires.
NOTE: Listings currently in the system as Delayed Entry status will remain as delayed entry and go Active on their On Market Date.
