Improve your business and be a leader! We are now accepting applications for the Leadership Academy, a series of courses specifically designed to prepare members for leadership roles in the Board and the community. These courses focus on everything from the strategic plan and committee structure at Dayton REALTORS® to public speaking, political involvement, and community outreach. The size of the class is limited, so please don’t wait! The deadline for applying is Friday, November 15.
LEADERSHIP ACADEMY MODULES AND DATES FOR 2025
Module 1. 1-7-25; 9 AM-11 AM. Welcome to Leadership. Hear from Dayton members/speakers who have graduated from the Academy and/or achieved significant levels of leadership. Held at Dayton Realtors®.
Module 2. 2-25-25; 9AM-1 PM. Introduction to Conscious Leadership. Designed for leaders at all levels, this session introduces participants to tools and frameworks to improve their emotional intelligence, better navigate conflict, reduce blame, have more productive conversations and get better business results. Facilitated by Aileron staff and held at the beautiful Aileron campus in Tipp City.
Module 3. 3-26-25; 10 AM-2PM. Advocacy Day. Held in Columbus. Join Realtors® from across the state at the annual Ohio Realtors® at the Rotunda. You will meet with our state legislators as well as attend sessions on important issues affecting private property rights and home ownership.
Module 4. 4-8-25; 9AM -3PM. Driver of Positive Change is an interactive program built around Jon Gordon’s best-selling book, The Energy Bus. During this training journey, you will learn about your impact as the driver of the bus, create a positive vision, and invite your passengers (team) to be a part of your vision through inspiration, communication, and the elimination of negativity. You will create a plan to regularly fuel yourself so you can fuel others. Hang on for the ride of your life as you spend the day focusing on you as a leader.
This program will help leaders:
- Learn how your energy influences others and how to positively manage it.
- Understand how to fuel yourself, your team, and address and remove negativity.
- Improve communication and engagement to help the team toward a common vision.

Module 5. May 2025; day tbd . Global Day. Bring in leaders from area cultural groups. Held at Dayton Realtors®. This date in May is tbd to accommodate a Naturalization ceremony and possibly the NATO session coming to Dayton (May 23-25).
Module 6. 6-10-25; All day. Spokesperson Training. First part of day facilitated by Black Box Improv. Learn how to be a better communicator using skills honed by improv performers. The second half of day will include mock interviews and training to make you more comfortable whether you are speaking to a group, with the media or in a meeting. Entire day held at Black Box Improv location in Dayton.
Module 7. 7-8-25 ; 9 AM-1PM. Knowing and Growing Dayton. Private presentation by Brady Kress, Dayton History, followed by a private park tour and finish with lunch. Held at Carillon Park.
Module 8. Graduation held at Member Appreciation Lunch in October.
