Dayton REALTORS® is pleased to announce the slate of candidates for the upcoming election for the Board of Directors and Treasurer for the term commencing January 1, 2021. Voting for these candidates begins Wednesday, October 21 and will conclude on Wednesday, October 28 at midnight. The results of the election will be announced at our annual Membership Appreciation event on Thursday, October 29.
TREASURER CANDIDATE
Greg Blatt
As a real estate veteran of nearly four decades, Greg has developed a vast array of knowledge within the industry. His expertise spans residential and commercial/investment brokerage. Over the past 28 years, Greg has owned and operated two thriving real estate companies in the Dayton area. Currently, Greg serves as a Dayton Realtors® Director and has served on numerous committees at such as: Global, Legislative, Government Affairs, MLS, Professional Standards and Education. Most recently, Greg was appointed to two Presidential Task Forces regarding the Board’s Constitution and MLS policy/procedures. Greg currently represents Dayton Realtors® as an Ohio Realtors® Director and also serves on numerous Ohio Realtors® Committees mirroring those he serves on in Dayton. Greg has also been appointed to serve as a State Political Coordinator for Senator Bob Hackett. Greg is keenly aware of the numerous challenges putting pressure on our industry from outside sources such as third-party aggregators and the imposition of Federal and State Regulation. Greg is willing to work hard for you to ensure the Realtor® remains THE Voice of Real Estate.

Mary Buddendeck (f.k.a. Kirkendall)
Mary was licensed in 1997 at the urging of her next door neighbor, Fran Swift, one of the first women Brokers in Dayton. Today, she is a Senior Sales Associate associated with Coldwell Banker Heritage since 2008. After extensive service on the Equal Opportunity and Diversity Committee, Membership Services Committee, and New Realtor Forum, Mary has gained the leadership qualities to serve as a Director. She is known by her colleagues as an approachable advocate and a team player. Working while helping raise four children, Mary knows the determination being a Realtor® takes. Believing strongly in the American Dream, she has a firm resolve for fair housing and nondiscriminatory practices at all levels of society. Her experience, charisma and energy will greatly serve the Dayton Realtors®. Mary is a yearly DABR and OAR Sales Award recipient, and a yearly RPAC contributor. Community Service has included: PFLAG Dayton (Board Member 10+ years), “Feeding Friends” Food Pantry, (8 years), and Church Ministry Council and leadership (10+years)
Bernadette Gerren
Bernadette Gerren, Broker/Owner of Premier Professionals Realty, has been a member of Dayton Realtors® for many years. Being very passionate about staying current on new regulations in the real estate industry, Bernadette has earned several professional designations and certifications. She brings a very strong skill set which have been developed through academic and work experiences and believes that it will be a true privilege and honor to serve on your Board of Directors. Bernadette has consistently served the Dayton Realtor® membership and was appointed to the 2020 Credentials Task Force. She has volunteered on several committees including Government Affairs, Global Alliance, Grievance & Professional Standards, Equal Opportunity & Diversity, Community Service and Holiday Reception. Additionally, Bernadette serves as 1st Vice President for both the Greater Dayton Realtist Association and the Women’s Council of Ohio which are affiliates of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers. Bernadette is also a HUD Certified Housing Counselor, NID Branch Office Manager. Bernadette Gerren will bring a level of excellence to the board room as your 2021 Director.
Tiffany Lobertini
Tiffany has a unique background from 17 years as a social studies educator and an International Baccalaureate teacher, with a BS in Education and a Masters in Educational Leadership / Administration. This experience has given her a vast perspective into history, cultures, and people. In 2011 she became an agent and member of Dayton REALTORS®. She is passionate about diversity, which is evident in the organizations Tiffany is a member; including the Miami Valley Fair Housing Center and Greater Dayton Realtist. Her dedication to serve can be seen within these organizations and her involvement at the board. She was previously Vice Chair of Equal Opportunity and Diversity Committee and is the Chair of the Global Alliance. Tiffany serves on Ohio Realtors® committees and is a member of the 2020 Dayton Leadership Academy. At her brokerages, she has helped train and mentor agents to grow their businesses. Tiffany is dedicated to educating herself to better serve her 300+ agent brokerage, where she is a Principal Broker, and will bring this with her to the board of directors.
Kelly McCormick
As a Dayton Director (2017 to current), Kelly re-affirms her commitment to the Boards’ membership with determination to provide a member-focused point of view. She applies herself by teaching the Board contract class, participating on the Forms, Grievance, and MLS committees, and has an agile problem-solving approach. Her POV from 28+ years of experience is leveraged to support small and large brokerages and industry professionals. Some of her accomplishments include Dayton Broker-Manager of the year (2020), Major RPAC Investor, Dayton Regional Ambassador, and Dayton Leadership Academy. Kelly serves on the Professional Standards, Business Technology, and Legislative Communication committees and as a Director for Ohio REALTORS®. She is a proud member of the NAR Brokerage Engagement Council and holds designations of SERS, C2EX, CRS, and ABR. As a Board Director, she enjoys being part of the Board's decision-making process and the challenges of exploring and implementing best practices in our ever-changing industry. Kelly is a Principal Broker at BHHS Professional Realty and most recently a member of NAREB and a Certified HUD Counselor.
Guy Roth
Guy Roth was raised in a real estate family, and holds a BSBA from Ohio State University in Real Estate & Urban Analysis. He displays his commitment to the real estate industry by serving on the Dayton Realtors®’ Board of Directors, Professional Standards and Grievance Committees, as well as the Equal Opportunity/Diversity, MLS, Forms, Legislative Committees and more, having been Chair or Vice Chair of most of them. Guy also has been an OAR Trustee and on numerous State Committees. A Residential & Commercial Realtor®, all his career, Guy is the Principal Broker of Better Homes & Gardens Big Hill Realty and gets involved where he is needed. Guy believes in the importance of the Real Estate Industry in the economy and serves the interest of all Board members, large & small, as well as the interest of all property owners. Maura Schmitt
Maura Schmitt is a Dayton native, the mother of three and married to REALTOR® Tobias Schmitt. She has been an active member of Dayton REALTORS® since 2014 and supports the vision of RPAC as a Major Investor. As a Regional Manager for her statewide brokerage, she observes how other boards across the state impact their members. Maura is running not to serve the interests of her brokerage, rather as an advocate for ALL Dayton REALTORS®. She desires a more equal and balanced platform of brokerages serving on the Board of Directors. She’ll serve with vision & passion while upholding the goals & integrity of our organization. Her credentials include: Serving on several Dayton & Ohio REALTORS® committees. The current Chair of our Recognition Committee. A 2018 graduate of the Ohio REALTORS® Leadership Academy & a member of its Advisory Board. A committee Chair for the Ronald McDonald House and a current PTO Executive Committee member for an area High school & Junior high. Jeff Spring
Jeff is a native Daytonian and has been a REALTOR® Member since 2007. He’s served on many committees including New REALTOR® Forum, Forms, Grievance, Government Affairs (Vice Chair), Finance, MLS Task Force, and CEO Search Committee. Home ownership rights are very important to Jeff and that’s why he’s a Sterling “R” contributor. He manages a large office in Centerville with 75 agents and production that exceeds $250 million, so he sees REALTOR® Member successes and challenges on a daily basis, and that’s what makes him qualified and motivated to serve as a Dayton REALTORS® Director. Jeff is a two-time recipient of the prestigious Rick Heben MVP Award, which is an award, chosen by your peers, that reflects the willingness to serve without expecting anything in return. He says his biggest accomplishments in life are being a Dad and a Kidney donor to his wife Missy in 2003 and he wishes that all REALTOR® Members consider being an organ and tissue donor!
Steve Weiser
Steve Weiser has been a proud member of Dayton Realtors® since 1980. He has served the membership in many capacities..usually on multiple fronts each year. This year, he serves on the MLS, Forms and Professional Standards committees and led the Director Credentials Task Force. He is also one of the drivers on a much-needed new joint purchase contract with the Cincinnati Board. He perennially is a Capitol Club RPAC contributor. Steve is the Principal Broker at KW Advantage where he leads a team of 160. He has owned two brokerages and is a well-known educator. He has consistently won awards in every capacity. He is a Director of the Forest Ridge HOA. Steve’s goal in serving as your Director is to make sure every voice is heard. He is an avid student of the industry and will use that knowledge to guide his advice. Fundamental decisions lie ahead of us. Only with every voice being heard will we make the best decisions moving forward.
Barb Waddell
Re-elect Barb Waddel for a second term on the Board of Directors! Licensed since 1999, a consistent Ohio Realtors®, Dayton Realtors® and Irongate Sales Leader, a Realtist, a member of Women’s Council of REALTORS®, Barb has been active in all aspects of the industry – most importantly serving on, and chairing, numerous Dayton Realtors® committees, completing its leadership program, and currently on the Board of Directors. In the last three years Barb has made real change to benefit the members of our association. With a passion for doing the right thing and making things happen, Barb can help us continue to grow and better our profession. Heather Zimmaro
Heather is a native Daytonian, has been a licensed REALTOR® since 2012. Her primary reason for running is to bring collaboration amongst the members for some of the most important services we utilize as REALTORS®. She is a 2017 Ohio Realtor® Leadership Academy graduate and advisory board member. Over the years, Heather has served on many committees both at Dayton Realtors® and Ohio Realtors®. She was the 2019 Ohio Realtors® Convention committee chair. She is the current Dayton Realtors® Professional Development Chair, serves on the DARPAC and Recognition committees. She currently serves on the Ohio Realtors® Communication committee, Professional Development Committee, and is the Ohio representative for NAR RPAC Participation Council. She is an RPAC Presidents Circle Major Investor with a passion for advocacy. Heather understands that every decision made by the BOD is important to our profession and will impact our everyday businesses by the services they provide.
