Jan Leverett, president of Dayton REALTORS®, announced today that Carlton Jackson has been hired as the new CEO of the 3,000-member association. Jackson is currently the CEO for the Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS®.
Mr. Jackson replaces Andrew Sims, who accepted the position of CEO at the Raleigh Regional Association of REALTORS® in April.
“We conducted a nationwide search for our new CEO,” Ms. Leverett said. “There were many excellent candidates and the selection process was not easy. However, with Carlton’s impressive work at the local and national association levels, we’re positive that he will bring an exciting, fresh approach to managing our organization. The staff and the membership will be well served by his passion and knowledge of the real estate industry.”
“To say that I am excited to start working with Dayton REALTORS® is an understatement,” Jackson said. “Dayton REALTORS® is in a prime position to continue down a road of growth in both serving our members as well as being community advocates. My family and I are looking forward to planting roots and becoming part of the Miami Valley.”
Prior to his position at the Iowa City Area Association of REALTORS®, Jackson was the Leadership Team Program Manager for the National Association of REALTORS®. He previously spent time working with the United States House of Representatives and was employed in the private sector working in business development. A native of Canandaigua in New York, Mr. Jackson graduated from St. John Fisher College with a B.A. in Political Science. He is married to his wife Kristine and they have a 6-year-old son together.
